About one month ago I received 10 dolls from the USA. There is a woman in my church back home who is apart of the "giving doll ministry" where they make dolls for children and send them all around the world. They sent me the dolls to take to an orphanage in NE Kenya.
This past weekend I visited the orphanage and delivered the dolls. The girls were so excited to get a doll, hand-made, all the way from America. Some of them could not stop smiling and others couldn't even look at the camera long enough for a picture because they couldn't stop looking at their doll.
It was so special to personally hand each of the girls their very own doll. I told them that that was their doll and no one could take it away from them. That doll was made special for them all the way from America.
It was nice also to have some helpers. Righteous and Nevaeh assisted me in passing out the dolls to the girls. They are only 3 and 1 yrs old but yet they are already in Africa helping other. They are the sweetest girls and the best helpers!
It was such a blessing to be the one to deliver the dolls to the children. It was a blessing to personally see their faces when we handed them their doll. I am pretty sure that these children have never had their own doll before. They live with very little, so to receive something this nice, this personal, all the way from America blessed them more than I could ever imagine.
